Peer Mentoring
Peer Mentoring is a program that promotes collaboration between Católica students, with the objective of facilitating adaptation to academic life and promoting academic success and well-being.
Students who have been attending Católica for a longer time, the mentors, are available to accompany, support and guide colleagues who are now starting in Higher Education, the mentees, sharing experiences, learning and strategies. This monitoring is informal, close and focused on the real needs of the students, reinforcing the spirit of mutual help and community.
The idea is simple: to share, support and grow together.
What peer mentoring offers
For those who are just starting out (Mentees)
- Assist in adapting to the University, both in and out of classes;
- Create a peaceful and reliable space to ask questions, talk about doubts or share how they are feeling;
- Contribute to well-being and confidence building, especially in the first weeks;
- Make each student feel part of the Católica, creating connections with colleagues and the academic community.
The role of mentors
- Support those who arrive, with proximity and responsibility, showing that no one is alone;
- Develop skills such as communication, empathy and active listening, which make a difference in any context;
- Help solve questions and share useful tips, from your own experience as a student;
- Contribute to a more welcoming and supportive environment at the University.
