Life at Católica

I’m a Católica student: is there life beyond study?

We believe that the true university experience results from the union between what is learned in classes and what is lived outside them. Aware that the way we occupy our days is important to the way we feel, each campus offers opportunities for a complete experience, in which knowledge and academic life go hand in hand.

Service-Learning – CApS Project

Service-Learning – CApS Project

The CApS Project – Universidade Católica and Service-Learning: Innovation and Social Responsibility is an initiative promoted by the Faculdade de Educação e Psicologia (FEP) and the Unit for the Integral Development of the Person (UIDP). The main goal is to integrate and consolidate the Service-Learning (SL) methodology in different areas of the academic path at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, promoting a more complete and committed training with society. It is a national project that involves Católica's four campuses – Lisbon, Braga, Porto and Viseu. Service-Learning (SL) is a teaching methodology that combines academic learning with service to the community so that students graduate, personally and professionally, from working with real community needs.

As you become more involved in university life, it is worth exploring the Ciência-UCP Portal, where you can learn more about the research projects being developed at the University. Research is a fundamental part of the academic experience and, whenever possible, students are encouraged to become involved in these initiatives from an early stage. Discovering the work carried out by Católica’s researchers can help you identify new areas of interest, deepen your knowledge and take an active role in the creation of knowledge.
